ALMOST wasted 6 months' work!

Today was my last paper for the whole sem, HET123 or A Study Of Language. It's 4 unit paper so it weighs a lot when the final exam cgpa is counted. So me and Laila were studying for 2 days from morning to night in the library. We started on Tuesday after we finished our Public Relations paper, which was quite easy but i forgot a few details huhu.. So yesterday night after getting back to our rooms, we ymed while we continued studying till like 5am. Since my roommate already left home after finishing his exam last Sunday, i decided to study with Iwan and the gang coz we'll be having the exam in the same hall at the same time, that is 9am today. But today early morning, after Laila decided to go to sleep for a while at 5am, i decided to do the same. After leaving Iwan's room, i fell dead asleep in my room. I only woke up at 8.48am after i head Peanut's phone call. I did set alarm at 7am and it went off but i didn't hear it at all. The thing just kept ringing n ringing till i woke up. After panicking like hell, i just grabbed my LAME tshirt and a pair of jeans and ran like hell to the hall. Thank god i only reached 5 mins late and the paper was not that hard. If not for Iwan who got worried abt me and my babes, I'd be freaking sad right now...

What's up with roommates?

What's up with roommate's these days? Now that the sem is going to be over, i am really worried abt who's gonna be my roommate next semester. Although we've had a few misunderstandings in the past, i would really like my current roommate to be the same next sem. I think he's a really nice roommate and all once i got to know him a lot better. N recently Peter just posted in his FB abt his roommate leaving him food when he cleared out of the room. N guess what? My roommate left me stuffs too! Books! He left me mass comm books since he's majoring in it and i'm minoring in it. So thoughtful of these guys do that. Here's wishing them the best!

Karmic Sneezathon

I always had this problem with my nose where suddenly i'd just wake up one morning start having flu n major running nose and i'll be sneezing like Hell. Then my eyes would start burning and i'll have headache. It used to happen like once a week before but in USM it was kinda rare. Still would happen, just the flu n runny nose but without the 'sneezing like Hell' part. But y'day was the combination of the 3! Plus i had a paper. I was sneezing and wiping mucus (lol) coming out of my nose throughout the 3 hour paper. When the vigilators asked if anyone has coughing or flu i didnt say anything coz i didnt wanna wear that stupid mask.

The day went on with me running out of tissue and the sneezing getting worse n stuff. I was so hungry i ate like tupperware of fried rice from the cafe. After eating i just swallowed 2 tablets of panadol and went to bad. I woke up this morning and found that there might have been a reason for my sudden illness. It seems i've offended my friend Peter with a major social faux pass. He has been thinking abt it for a few days and it kinda affected my health as well. People, never underestimate the power of Peter. lol. I've appologised to him and hopefully things will get better. I'm SORRY again Peter!

But unfortunately, I've been such a moron today. I FORGOT to wish her!!! Of course i remembered the date and even talked abt it with her a couple of days before and all. But i forgot to do the most important thing: To convey my wishes on the day that it really matters! I'm sooooooo SORRY Yoshini... But just now i did after she called me and i heard the comotion of her birthday party at the back. I couldn't go to her party with my exam week n all. Haizz.. Sorry again love.. Hope u'll forgive me..

¡Adios! Señor Omar.

Today was the farewell party for Mr.Omar, my Spanish language teacher for 2 years. I first saw Señor Omar Rodriguez Estellar during my orientation week in USM. He was speaking in front of thousands of students during foreign language promotion day to promote Spanish. But he didn't need to promote Spanish to me. I've already loved the language since primary skool. Well the spanish telenovelas first n then the language but i would never pass the opportunity to take up Spanish. So i took my first level last sem and loved it. There are 2 Spanish teachers for USM but it's a good thing I got Mr.Omar. Since he's a real spaniard, (the other teacher is a malaysian), he gave us all the background and cultural knowledge of wat we learnt in class. It wasn't only abt the language but also abt everything else that has to with Spain. N fortunately, i got Mr.Omar as my teacher again for Spanish level 2 this sem. N as usual, classes were so much fun! I found Elizabeth, my coursemate, who shares the vision of completing LAE 400 by the time we graduate. But unfortunately, all good things come to an end... His contract in Malaysia will be expiring soon and he doesn't want to renew it. He wants to continue his life in another part of the world. Though i wish him the best, I'll definitely miss him like hell when I'm taking the 3rd level. According to him, there'll be a new teacher substituting him. Hopefully that teacher is as nice as him. Goodbye Mr.Omar!!! Take care...

My FIRST day of 1st year 2nd sem finals!!!

Well today i panicked. I panicked when i, who left my room at 2pm for the exam hall at 2pm, found that everyone was already inside the freaking exam hall! I was preparing for it until the last 45minutes, accompanied by my secret weapon, Jay and USM (lame) Hotspot, coz i only started revising yesterday. Haha....huhu.... That's wat i always do. I never learn. Always last minute. It's something abt the damn adreline during last days before exam. After that i went makan with my classmate-gal-pals, with whom i never ate together before i think. Too bad my cousin didn't join. If not it could have been an E.M. Foster affair. Lol. Anyway enjoy some photos of us. Pea as usual being all herself (bringing to the exam hall her Nokia 5730 Express Music and her Ipod Touch and calling someone exactly after her exam paper was taken) lol and Fifi as cute as always!

i LOVE my BFFs!!!

Study week started last Saturday so what else to do but to go back home and have fun??? That was a rhetorical question by the way so don't answer it with words like 'study' and 'revision' lol. An issue that has been bugging me for the past few weeks is the lack of updates and the gap between updates in my blog. After much contemplation and discussion with my BFFs, i've decided to just continue with this blog. Instead of deleting this blog or starting a new one, all i have to do is just work harder. So here's my latest entry after a bit of emotional instability. I decided to make it like a homage to my my BFFs. These are the photos taken this week during study week when i hung with them lol.

Just a mere past obsession??

I used to love blogging. I blogged freaking religiously. Like almost every single night. After everything was done. I'd blog. But now. The thought doesnt even occur to me. Always with the forgetting. With the delaying. With the excusing. Feel like starting over. Starting afresh. With new posts. New entries. New stories. Sigh. Rid of the old. Start with the new. Shld i? I shld. I will.

Mid-Term Exam Load!

Yesterday evening was one of the craziest. I had 2 tests and preparation for today's oral test. The tests were postponed and postponed from previous weeks and ended up being in the same time slot on the same day =.="
HET 123, my linguistic paper was planned from 8pm to 9pm while YBP224, the Public Relations paper was scheduled from 8pm to 10pm. I was like DIE. How to do both at the same time. Adding to the misery was my Malay oral presentation for LKM400 which was to be on the next day. A senior who had the same prob of clashing papers advised me to talk to the PR lecturer like she did. The lecturer gave my senior another time at 5pm to 7pm to do her exam. i took the slot for granted and went in for the exam with my frens without letting the lecturer noe abt it earlier.
Boy we were in trouble. She was mad that we were taking advantage of her. But thank god she's a nice person and we got to sit for the exam. I'm quite confident with the paper. We'll see how it turns out. After that we went to the other exam hall for the English paper. That paper was quite hard coz i didnt read much for it being the lazy being that i am, spending my time facebooking and blogging. lol.
After the paper, me and my team members, Laila, Elizabeth and Jaclyn tried to practice for our malay oral test the next day. Me and almost all of my classmated hated that Malay teacher bcoz of her method of teaching which is very different from out major course environment. The diff between English and Malay has always been so obvious in the class. Every class would feel like hell. After practicing, we headed back to our hostels. Me and Peanut had already planned to wear formal to class today. So we were decked in out 3/4 formal attire (lol) during the whole day today. Peanut's tie was borrowed by Junior. Thx a lot Junior! But unfornately something bad happened to the tie. I'm really really sorry abt the tie Juno. Our presentation went well eventough i sucked quite bad. The thing that has turned my life around happened today during lunch at Bakti Permai. Our teacher treated me and Elizabeth lunch. NOOO!!! Now me and Eli owe her our gratitude. So no more trashing our LKM400 teacher... May she be kind and nice to all of us... Amen.

Hola! Que Tal?

iHola amigos! Es Vimal de espanol Plano 2. Lol i've decided to start blogging again after more than 3 months thanks to a few other bloggers and also the internet service in my hostel. The wifi now is better bcoz they've installed routers in every cubicle, so now we can at least connect and surf some light websites though it's still very slow when it comes to loading. Lots and lots of things have happened in 3 months. Things that have changed my life and will continue changing my life and would change my life in the future. For starters, i lost my phone (Nokia 5130a Blue Xpress Music), exactly on this day, a month ago. I lost it on 9th February 2010 which was also a Tuesday like today. I've had the phone for almost a year, and i got it thanks to Yfong. RIP phone... I hope the person who stole it rots in hell or something. N to save me from the agony of getting another phone as the replacement (been there, done that), i bought the same model phone in the same color again, with the diff being it is Nokia 5130c, with flight mode.
One more thing would be the fact that i'm now back to living with my real roommate for this session. We're doing fine so far. N i've just applied for the hostel next session as well. Hope i'll get it. *Fingers crossed*

Seriously? This is messed up!

Recently a friend of mine, shaved her head as a donation to Lord Muruga because her prayers for her mom's health to improve came true. I really wanted to be there to support her but unfortunately I had soo many other things to do at about the same time.

The next day was a working day and as usual she went to work. At about lunch time she called me, and sounded very angry. I became worried and after asking a few times, she finally explained what had happened. It seems her boss had told her off for going to work with her head shaved bald and leaving it uncovered during work. He told her to start wearing a scarf over her head the next day onwards or risk losing her job.

But what angered my friend more was the fact that there were 2 other male co-workers who have always had clean shaven heads. And the boss had never told them to start growing hair or somehow cover up their head as well. This  is definitely unfair and unjust towards my friend. As much as she did not want to give in, but she really needed the job so from then on she went to work with a scarf until her hair grew back. What an unfair system Maybank practices!
